This is a series dedicated during the presidential election times when multiple strong citizens are running for president of the United States. Today, I am interviewing Shylock , who is a promising candidate for becoming the president of the United States.

Hello, Shylock , I am going to just ask you a few questions regarding your candidacy for president of the United States, is that okay?

Of course.

1) Alright, first off, what will you do regarding our foreign affairs, are you leaning toward joining ALPHA, TM, or creating our own alliance?

Are you familiar with the first, second, and third world nations of the Cold War? The first world were those allied with NATO and the United States. The second world was the Soviet Union and it's bloc nations. The third world was unaffiliated. I plan on being the pre-90s Third World. Alliances are terrible -- as they all split up and disintegrate in the end. The third world nations had the distinct ability to push the Soviets or the Americans in the positions they wanted, thus causing those third world nations to receive billions in combined aid. The United States will play the role of a third-world nation in e-sim (as bad as that sounds). I plan on using both alliances to our benefit -- while remaining neutral as the Homicide administration has done.

2) Next, what is your opinion on Russia still renting our regions even though the rent is surely not larger than what we could be making if we had those regions?

This is a good question. I do not enjoy the fact that Russia is hogging our territory, it's rather uncivilized. However, I enjoy the fact that they are a barrier from Asia/Eastern-Europe. My foreign plans include building a "Fort" of sorts around the United States and supporting the fort. t will protect us from the infighting experienced in Eastern Europe. It will consist of Argentina, Brazil, the UK, Sweden, France, and Italy. We will be the core of this fort -- aiding those nations in their defense and aiding them in expansion. As for the main question you asked -- I see Russia on our coast as an insulating factor that could prevent other hostile nations from invading us. So, the rent is a bonus :3.

3) Who would you consider our top allies to be?

Our top allies? As aformentioned, it depends on which continent you are talking about. I believe we have been playing with Sweden a lot more than France recently in Europe. In South America, Argentina has been very thankful of our aid. So, our "top allies" in terms of thanking us are Sweden and Argentina. Our allies in our "fort" are all equally important however. Keeping Eastern European affairs out of America is my main objective in the diplomatic scope.

4) What will be your main goal in your term that you might serve in the upcoming month?

My main goal is to restore my reputation as an honest individual. I will be removing the Executive from the National Org. The SecTreas will have to be approved by Congress before getting the national log-in details. I will also be reforming the way defense funding is spread via the Department of Defense. I believe in competition funding. I believe that competition based on total damage and damage towards DoD objectives is what should count for funding. Thus, giving funding out based on Damage and loyalty to the nation's orders is my main priority in the Defense field.

1st Place = 35% of the Defense Funds.
2nd Place = 25% of the Defense Funds.
3rd Place = 15% of the Defense Funds.
4th Place = 12.5% of the Defense Funds
5th Place = 12.5% of the Defense Funds.

Rules and regulations will be established as the program is created and Congress will probally want to discuss this before it's instituted. I plan on letting Congress pick some authority up -- and allow the Executive to be more focused on internal developments and international relations.

5) Who do you feel is our biggest threat at the moment?

Biggest threat? Eastern Europe as a whole. Too much rampant nationalism mixed with RL 80s-90s conflicts. They fight over something that was done in real life by leaders they could care less about.

6) Are you happy with the current state of the economy?

As a capitalist, I will say no. It could always be better. However, it is working suffeciently and provides a forum for those who are economically minded. We produce a lot of goods -- and we import a lot too. I want to see wages increase 15% during my term -- if I am elected, other than that -- I am quite happy with the economy.

7) What do you think about your current competition, are they going to pose a challenge to you?

Of course. Khaled is an experienced statesman -- and my blotted reputation will make it ever harder for me to gain this office. However, I am willing to put the effort in and try anyway.

8) Are you excited for the debate?

Of course. Fionia is my secret lover.

9) What do you believe is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength? My personality, I reckon. A lot of people hate me -- but an equal amount of people like me. I am very conversational and as you see -- I am willing to answer just about any question.

10) What do you believe is your biggest weakness?

My reputation.

11) Cake or pie?

I am a compromiser on this ; I prefer Cheesecake. It's a cake "cooked" in a pie dish.

Thank you for answering these questions in this interview, I wish you the best of luck in the election!

As always,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
