Today we have declared war on Portugal in an effort to assist our ally, the United Kingdom. In this occurrence, we are showing that Portugal cannot into Sigma. In the event of our battles going in our favor, we stand to gain another High resource region and show that Portugal isn't a great country. I am excited for war, as we always need war to have fun and to train, and this will be a challenging and exciting war. Portugal, I hope you're ready. Starting off in the first few rounds, you won't see the most hitting, because we have to wait for the main MUs to begin changing their battle orders. I am hoping that every one of our allies (including our friends) will support us in this war. I would like to remind you of Project Cornucopia and how it can help you gain enough food just to fight. Also, in the heated battles, try attempting to join a local MU, including but not limited to, Band of Brothers, the United States Army, and even Top Gun. I want everyone to be the best that they can be, and this can easily be achieved by joining a military unit. (It grants extra damage bonuses, up to 20%!)
I want YOU to give it your best in the battles, everyone needs to do it if we are to beat Portugal! They are greedy, and have been eyeing our high regions for a while, and it has finally happened, they are trying to take it. We will not stand for this. Pick up whatever you have and fight with it. But remember to fight smart. So for today, I am going to educate you a bit. First, get Q5 gifts and food if you can afford it. Do that before grabbing weapons, because we want to maximize your XP gain when fighting. If you have enough money, then move to weapons. But don't rush into high quality weapons, everyone uses the lowest quality weapons anyway. (110 Q5 weapons are around 13 gold) So remember this, and even check out other articles that teach you how to fight smart.
We are helping them by declaring war on Portugal. They have committed intolerable acts by attacking our allies, and will receive punishment for their crimes. Also, if you haven't noticed, China and Poland are getting married. Their wedding is pretty soon, I hope you attend. China has been destroying Indonesia as of late and they are nearing on wiping them, however taking out Indonesia's capital will be a doozy, because they have Q5 Defense Systems and Q5 Hospitals set up in every round. I don't know how we will ever do it, but we will destroy that region soon enough.
Aside from war, I would like to say that my congress term is going by pretty smoothly. I am glad that I have been elected and this has been an amazing experience for me. So, if you are considering attempting to run for congress next term, please do. Trust me, it is worth it. If you haven't yet, try to go get active on IRC and the forums, because we could always use more active people outside of e-sim. If you don't know how to get on IRC, there are guides out there, and in the welcome message. Here is a quick guide: Go to www.mibbit.com and sign up. Mibbit is an easy-to-use and nice graphics IRC client. Next, when you are logged in, it will take you to chat. Next to the Connect box click and choose Rizon. Next, in the Nick box put your e-sim name. In the channel box, put #e-sim.usa. Now press connect. It's as easy as that!
I am proud to say that Khaled Ibrahim has chosen to make me his Vice President next term, so of course, my support will go to him. I would you everyone to vote for him, because he hasn't screwed up yet, and is running the country perfectly fine. Also, he has an amazing cabinet of smart and hardworking individuals. I would like everyone to take a moment and think about how our country is how it is right now. How so many people have put in so much work to put our country where it is today that we can declare war on strong countries and be able to challenge them. We should be thankful that we have an amazing alliance that will support us without hesitation. Portugal was doomed the second they laid eyes upon the United Kingdom. We will not tolerate their actions. Sigma is not a pushover alliance, and we will show that today, as we did to Russia. Fight smart, and fight hard. Don't just hit to hit. Wait until late in the battle, or don't fight at all if you know that the battle is already won. As many have said before me, percentages don't matter, damage matters. We don't want to waste all of our damage in one round, spread it out, guys.

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
