Hey Canada! Owen here. Read through this article please, some important stuff.
e-Sim has been gradually losing citizens over the past few months, and Canada has been no exception. While we've coped better than most, we are down to 131 citizens as I write this. In our prime we were comfortably above 200. Not only are we losing citizens, but we are losing interest, myself included. So I brainstormed for ways to keep us addicted and hooked to the game.
We need to find our spark! And I think that while keeping in mind all of the circumstances around us, that is still very much possible.
It has no annoying shoutbox like the old offsite, it has sections for visitors, citizens, and congressmen, and even has a nifty arcade section where you can attempt to snag all the high scores! So if you're a Canadian, go register and introduce yourself! Get to know your peers a little better!
The second announcement is pretty cool. I've decided to introduce a 3 star system for those amazing Canadians who go above and beyond in battles. Whether this is completely buffing up and using Q5 weapons to steal a close round all by yourself, or it could be spreading out your damage over 3 different rounds to clutch the decisive damage in 3 seperate wins!
Every week on sunday night, I will review the past Canadian battles, or allied battles if Canada is at peace, and with tarsieg , we will decide who is the Canadian 3rd star, the Canadian 2nd star, and who is the first star of the week! In addition to having your exploits glamorously demonstrated to all of Canada, 3rd place will win 1G, 2nd place will win 3G, and 1st place will win 6G! Not ridiculously high amounts, but better than nothing and you can win consecutive weeks
To make 100% sure we don't miss something you did, make sure you message it to me or post it in the shoutbox when you pull it off.
The third announcement is something to honour the Canadians of the past and the present in a pretty neat way. We will have a Canadian Hall of Fame.
A council of 12 Canadians will be selected. They will be chosen from all of our different demographics, including Canadian Clutch, Cavalry, Liberated Canada, Revolutionary Party, Maple Party, etc. We will choose Canadians that have been consistently around the community for a while. There will be a Hall of Fame section on the offsite where only the council members have access.
Every 10 days, beginning on Day 458, each council member will submit 1 name in the thread. They will be submitting who they think is the most worthy of being inducted in the Hall. Once all the names have been tallied, the top 3 chosen names will remain. If there is a tie, more than 3 may remain. Everybody openly votes between those names, and the top voted person gets inducted in the Canadian Hall of Fame. There will be an article about it on Day 460 with an induction speech, acceptance speech and various quotes from Canadians in the community. This process will take place every 10 days, it will be a cool way for some Canadians to get neat recognition.
And this isn't some narcissistic way for me to feel better about myself in hoping I get inducted because I'm uninductable haha. But anybody else is eligible to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. Absolutely Anybody. They could have gone inactive months ago, just recently, or could still be playing. It could be because of great help for newer players, military accomplishments for Canada, leadership roles, etc.
This wraps up the very long summary of changes coming to the Canadian community in the upcoming weeks haha, remember to sign up on the offsite and to stay in touch daily! I will explain freely with you guys over there what our current invasion situation looks like and where we should move forward.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
