The main propose of this article is to show that tournaments can be more interesting if there is no drawing for teams at all and to let nations fight against each other alone!
I have seen a lot of complains here and there stating that we are a stronger nation than you guys but we lost the battle only because you had better allies.
If we manage to create a kind of tournament were every nation can fight for his own, then after the end of the tournament it will be clear for everyone what`s the exact military ranking of every single country in the world.
It`s interesting to see a one on one battle between Poland & Lithuania or Israel vs Turkey for example!
But how can we manage such a tournament?
We have exactly 50 nations in e-sim right now.
In order to run a tournament for 50 participants I recommend to use a system in chess tournaments call the “Swiss system”.
We can finish the tournament in 6 or 7 rounds and after that we are going to have a final standing were we can see exactly where each single country stands compare to others.

But as the link contains a lot of detailed information I will try to summarize it for you:
In the first round we will draw the teams based on their total strength so that the first team(Poland) is going to play the weakest country and the second best team(Lithuania) is going to play the second weak team.
We give 1 point to the winner and 0 to the loser of each battle so that after the end of the first round we are going to have 25 countries with 1 and 25 countries with 0 Score.
In the second round we have to draw the countries with 1 point all together and the ones with 0 point together (there will be just 1 clash between a country with 1 point and 0 and that must be determine by a draw).
After the end of the second round we are going to have 12 or 13 countries with 2 point (who are going to face each other in the 3rd round), around 26 countries with 1 point and perhaps 12 countries with 0 score.
So this system is going to be continue and if you calculate you are going to see that in round 6 or 7 the top two countries who manage to win all their games so far will face each other and at the end there will be one country who is the clear winner and the rest of the world know exactly where they stand compare to other countries!
In the final standing in case of the same score, the team who managed to win more rounds is going to stand higher.
Also in this kind of tournament there should not be a clash between two countries for more than once.

Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
