小野田宽郎1922年出生于日本和歌山县海南市，17岁时曾被派驻到“田岛洋行”武汉分店工作，后被征召入伍。在陆军中野学校，小野田宽郎接受了游击战的训练。

1944年11月，他被派到菲律宾的一个小岛—卢班岛，准备在美军登陆后开展游击战。此时日军在太平洋的局势已经岌岌可危。

我们现在暂时撤退，你们到山林里进行游击战，我不准你自杀或者投降，三年、四年或者五年之后，我们将会回来，你一定要坚持到我们回来。以上命令除了我，谁都不能取消。”

就因为这句话，小野田宽郎在卢班岛的丛林中一呆就是29年。1945年2月28日，美军在卢班岛登陆，日军大部分不是战死便是投降。小野田宽郎与另外三名日军逃入丛林，继续顽抗。

1945年8月15日，日本宣布无条件投降。美军派遣日本降军赴太平洋各岛劝降，并空投大量的传单。小野田宽郎认定这是美军的计谋，丝毫不为所动。

他们不断地移动自己的位置，并偷窃当地居民的菜果、猎捕居民的家禽来充饥，喝河水、雨水解渴。大雨倾盆之时，他们用自己的身体护住步枪、地雷及炸药。

在如此恶劣的环境之下，小野田宽郎依然没有忘记长官交付他的任务—“游击战”，每个月他们都会袭击军车，枪杀司机，夺取物资。有时，他们也会出现在村落，射杀当地农民。

与小野田宽郎一起逃入丛林的三人中，后来有一人投降，一人在与菲律宾警方的冲突中被杀死，只剩下小野田宽郎和另外一名日军小冢金七仍在“坚守”。

1972年10月，小野田宽郎在附近的村庄埋设了剩下的最后一枚地雷，因为生锈，地雷没有爆炸。1972年10月9日，菲律宾警察部队得到当地农民的报告，在卢班岛发现了两个旧日本军人在山岗上烧稻草。

三名菲律宾警察赶到现场，两方爆发枪战，小冢金七身中两枪身亡，小野田宽郎则再次逃入丛林。

小冢金七的死亡引起了日本政府的“重视”，他们马上派人到菲律宾，并留下报纸、杂志，还有小冢在日本的丧礼等消息给小野田宽郎。但孤身一人的小野田宽郎仍决心将“游击战”进行到底。

1974年2月20日，小野田宽郎在丛林中遇到专程前来寻找他的日籍探险家铃木纪夫。铃木告诉小野田宽郎，战争真的已经结束了。但小野田宽郎坚持必须有指挥官谷口少佐的命令才愿意投降，同时要亲自将20余年来保存良好的军刀交给天皇。

铃木回到日本后，几经波折找到了小野田宽郎的上司谷口义美，并请谷口书写一份要求小野田宽郎投降的命令。1974年3月9日，小野田宽郎接到了铃木带来的投降命令。

隔天，已经52岁的小野田宽郎身着已经破烂的日本军服，翻过整个山头来到警察局，放下肩上的步枪，“我是陆军少尉小野田宽郎，我奉上级的命令向你们投降”。

小野田宽郎投降后，菲律宾各地爆发游行示威，强烈要求将小野田宽郎投入大牢。就因为小野田宽郎这“30年战争”，菲律宾方面付出了沉重的代价，仅伤亡战士和警察就多达130人。不过在当时日本政府的“强烈”要求下，时任菲律宾总统马科斯赦免了小野田宽郎。

然而双手沾满鲜血的小野田宽郎回国后，受到日本民众“英雄般”的欢迎，被认为是最后的“日本武士”。而回到现代日本的小野田宽郎仍不改其军国主义的价值观，对于日本新宪法中对于军事行动的限制相当不满。

日本右翼人士也频频利用小野田宽郎这个军国主义的活化石进行政治宣传。每次参加日本右翼退伍军人的活动，一听到昔日的军歌，小野田宽郎都会“激动”得掉出泪来。

他的自传《决不投降—我的三十年战争》出版后成为畅销书。他的故事被日本电视台拍成电视剧，试图为日本的侵略战争洗白。

他曾无数次接受媒体的访问，每当被问到如何看待上百个受伤与至少三十个死亡的无辜农民与破碎的家庭，他坚决认为，他身处于作战之中，不必为这些人的死亡负责。

他坚称自己是一位游击队长，不受任何一般战斗状况的约束，他必须为自己寻找活路。他脸无愧色，他意气始终高昂，他不觉得必须负担任何道德的谴责。

“军人就是服从命令，在不违反国际法律的状况下，我没有责任。”这是他一贯的口吻。在日本军国主义的文化中，小野田宽郎的价值观完全被扭曲了，这一点可在他的日记中看出，“在战场上，你不杀人，人就杀你。正常的生死观在这种地方是没有地位的。要说疯狂是够疯狂的，但这就是战场上的精神状态。”

1973年，小野田的年迈的父亲亲自来到菲律宾找儿子，因为身体不好且是山地，便雇人抬着他走。
小野田的姐姐也亲自去菲律宾找弟弟，还是不行。1974年小野田回国时，可惜他的姐姐已经去世了，没能看见亲眼看到弟弟。

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
