More On Weapons
As explained in Stage 5, weapons can significantly bolster your damage in a battle. Fig. 1 illustrates the amount of bonus damage you get from using the various qualities of weapons, ranging from 1-5. As you can imagine; stacking these with a location damage bonus and a military unit bonus (explained later in this guide) can give you a healthy boost to your daily damage output, helping you advance and reach higher ranks faster.

Fig. 1 - Table illustrating the bonus damage received from using the range of weapon qualities.

Ranks
As you start to deal more and more damage, you will find yourself ranking up quickly. The more you rank up, the longer it will take you to rank up again. This means its nice and easy for you to progress early in the game. Every time you rank up, your damage increases by 10%, as illustrated in Fig. 2.

Fig. 2 - Table showing the various ranks in e-Sim, their damage requirements, and the damage bonus they give.

It is quite possible to reach the Marshall rank within your first month of the game, as long as you supply yourself properly with food, gifts and weapons. However, you don't have to do this yourself. A good way to build yourself up, as well as getting more involved in the community is to join a military unit (explained later in this guide)

Military Medals
There are currently nine acquirable medals in e-Sim. They are awarded when you perform an action deemed significant enough by the game, and all give a 5 gold reward, with the Presidential medal giving 500 XP as well. You can earn medals more than once, so they're a good way of earning gold, especially with some of the easier ones to acquire; like the Super Soldier medal.

Fig. 3 - The two military medals available in e-Sim; Battle Hero and Resistance Hero.

Fig. 3 shows the two possible medals you can achieve militarily. They are the Battle Hero (you will often see this shortened to BH) and the Resistance Hero medal. Both are quite difficult to achieve early on, and you will have to make sure you are very well supplied. As with all medals, you receive 5 Gold for achieving them.

Military Achievements
Recently, achievements were also added to the game. Whilst these offer no reward other than a shiny badge on your profile, its nice to feel like you've achieved something. Fig. 4 shows all of the military achievements you can acquire, and how to acquire them. You can view your achievements, and those you've let to achieve, by visiting your profile.

Fig. 4 - Table illustrating all military achievements acquirable in e-Sim. Note: a '/' denotes two different levels of the same achievement, and their differing requirements.

Military Units
In e-Sim, you are able to join a Military Unit (also known as MU). Military Units are a collection of players who fight together for a number of reasons:
1) Getting involved with a community of fellow players.
2) Military Unit members often receive daily supplies of food, gifts, and even weapons.
3) Military Unit members are given a 10/15/20% (depending on the level of the MU) damage bonus if they follow the orders set by the unit leader.

In the UK, we currently have two Military Units; the British Army and Bonkers.

The British Army is the government unit. Costing just 5 gold to join (this is a subsidized fee only used to cover the cost of creating a new space in the unit for you), you are required to work in an Army company every day to receive supplies. In return, you receive the following supplies every day:
* 10 Q4 Food
* 10 Q4 Gifts
New citizens are encouraged to join the British Army as it is easy to join and gives you regular supplies, and a 10% damage bonus in order to boost your rank and get you growing your profile in e-Sim. Not only that, it has a great community to take part in. To join the British Army; as outlined in Fig. 5; fill out the application form as explained here

Fig. 5 - How to join the British Army. Note: The 5 Gold is only required to open a new space in the MU for you to occupy!

Bonkers Military Unit is a private militia based in the UK. Membership costs 20 gold, for which you receive a 15% damage bonus, and the following supplies when you work in a Bonkers company:
* 10 Q5 Food and 10 Q5 Gifts on even numbered dates
* 10 Q5 Food on odd numbered dates
Bonkers membership is closed, but inquiries can be made by contacting MortaIbeta

The Military Unit Page
Once you've joined a military unit, you can visit the Military Unit page by navigating to "My Places" and then "Military Unit". The Military Unit Page is displayed in Fig. 6.

As shown in Fig. 6; you can use the Military Unit page to get more information about the unit, membership, as well as what inventory is held via the "Donations" button. You can also use it to view your current unit orders, as explained in the next section.

Military Unit Orders
If you follow the orders set by your unit leader when in a Military Unit, you receive a damage bonus. Currently, British Army members receive a 10% bonus, and Bonkers members receive a 15% bonus. You can view your current orders by going to the "Military Unit" page and then scrolling down until you reach the panel displayed in Fig. 7.

Fig. 7 - The current orders panel on the Military Unit page, displaying the battle, its type, the side you are to fight for, and a short briefing.

It is worth noting that you may well find your order is sometimes set to fighting in a resistance war which you cannot fight in, due to not being located in the region. If this is the case, contact your MU leader, and they will often supply you with a Moving Ticket; which allows you to travel to another region, with the following health effects depending on quality:

Fig. 8 - Wellness lost from using the varying qualities of Moving Tickets. Note: You must have enough health to use each moving ticket so that when the health is subtracted, you have no less than 0 remaining.

IMPORTANT: Remember to stack Military Unit and Location bonuses when you can!

That's it for this guide folks; check back soon for Stage 7; Parties & Politics.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
