While we have made enormous strides over the past few weeks we still have a long way to go to becoming a super power in this game. In order to make it to the next level what we have to focus on at the moment is organization and identity. By organization I refer to the best way to increase the amount of damage we can deliver at a certain time and in a specific battle. While this game has many areas to play in there is none more important than the battlefield. The amount of directed damage a country can throw is what really matters when it comes to "winning" this game. By Identity what I have in mind is what kind of nation to we hope to be? Why are we logging into a virtual world every single Real Life day? For what purpose do we do that?

If we are doing that in order to win pretend medals or earn worthless "gold" then we are playing this game wrong. These are all meaningless and are not worth the time it takes to play this game. We should be logging in to this game with the hopes of molding our virtual world to OUR will. Our goal should be dominating this world with the force of our ideas. We must find the most efficient and fun was to generate and direct damage and share those methods with our allies through education and our enemies by destroying their way of life and replacing it with our own superior way of doing things.

This all begs the questions of how do we become the shining city on a hill and how do we get to the promised land?

Well the next step in the process is a political make over for the sUSA. We need to ask some basic questions in regards to how we organize our political system. For the purpose of this article I will focus on a basic philosophy on what a political party should be in this game.

1. We should NOT import failed models from other games. Right now two of our top three parties have borrowed their name from OTHER political parties in a certain failed game that is much like esim. This is a bad idea. This game gives us a chance to create a meaningful political system from the ground up and instead we are perusing a failed model. Lets be creative! Lets be smart!. I challenge the next Party Presidents of both The Libertarian and The Federalist parties to develop and implement a total reformation of these parties. Come up with a unique and interesting reason for these parties to even exist.

2. Political Parties are NOT social clubs for you and your friends. A political party needs to formed around making this game fun and assisting in dealing more damage. If we have three or five or seven of the exact same kind of party doing the exact same things we become a weaker nation in the long run. Soon Congressional elections will be about defeating people you do not like or do not know instead of a battle of different methods of game play. We need to begin a debate, not just in Congress but in the media, about what kind of nation we want to be. An important step is creating a vibrant political system in which we actually debate ideas and methods of game play.

3. Political Parties should NOT consider being the largest party or having the most Congressional seats as an end goal. I am speaking directly to NAF and its leaders now. There is nothing wrong with attempting to gain the greatest number of Congressional seats each month. There is nothing wrong with a desire to be our nations largest party. That being said they must not be considered to be goals in and of themselves. I challenge the NAF to publish a set of principles and party goals. What do they see as the future of the country? What should our next steps be? What is the role of a political party in esim? What about the role of Congress? I could get on but you get the point

4. Political Parties should NOT be boring! Party President elections, Congressional elections, feeding/education new players are all worthy pursuits but lets face it...they ain't that exciting! So far the only political articles I see are in reference to the above activities. It is time to establish our nations meta game!! This could be even more important if the Civil War module is implemented. It is time for the more creative among us to get on IRC together and start putting together an outline for something FUN.


In closing I would like to say thanks to all of you for taking the time to read this and address to objections that I can see coming to my thoughts on this subject. I understand that many of you are working hard and we are all new to this game. I am not criticizing ANYONE, I am just trying to get us to have a bit more fun and get our damage numbers up. I am also very aware how vague a lot of this is, I just wanted to take a birds eye view of where we are and get us talking about how we can recreate this game in our sexy image....

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.


In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.


You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).


At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
