This article is intended for Belgian citizens, but anyone who is interested can read it of course.

Hi dear Belgians, I'm Orango I'm currently Game Operator, I was MoFa under MatthijsM and later Vice-President under Xplosive but I had to drop off this last role because I couldn't spend enough time for it.

Two days ago, an RW was started in the Belgian region "Vlaanderen", by the current CP zzzMonkey .

I was really surprised at first because this region was rented by the previous president Xplosive to our major ally France. Why would we give it back this soon? Plus, it was only 2 days after FlexWave was elected, which was a short time to discuss and settle the end of the rental agreement between France and Belgium.

I also noticed a very "diplomatic" article (irony inside) from our CP, which was published in France right after the start of the RW (You can read it here ) where he urges all French people to avoid fighting in Vlaanderen on French side because "Belgium reclaims Vlaanderen" and "Vlaanderen belongs to Belgium and not France" (you don't say?). Amazing arguments for amazing diplomatic skills as it seems.

1) Two versions for one case

But FlexWave is a player I appreciate and I believed in him as president, therefore I decided to investigate the case on both sides to understand the situation as good as possible. I heard the explanations of French officials and the one of FlexWave himself.

According to FlexWave, the French campaign is coming to an end as they lost the region linking Vlaanderen to French core regions. As a matter of fact, Vlaanderen would, according to him, no longer useful to France and should be immediately returned to Belgium.
On the other, French, side, I was told the fact they lost the region mentioned above doesn't mean at all that the campaign is over yet, why would it? The French-Dutch war is the major contribution of Nexus to the war against Alpha. Vlaanderen is still useful to France because some companies are now located there, founded by French citizens, plus it is a strategic region to continue the war against Netherlands.

But to the reason why Vlaanderen was important to Belgium, FlexWave remained a little fuzzy and gave many different explanations. Apparently, Vlaanderen would be important to start a babyboom in Belgium. Why? I'm not sure, it could be because Flemish players would get stuck in France if they register in Vlaanderen now. But it isn't a big trouble though, a little PM to tell them to get back to us and it's solved.
Then he also said many of our companies were in Vlaanderen and it could be useful to Belgium to get them back. In fact it probably wouldn't change much if we had Vlaanderen too.

I personally think Vlaanderen is more of a symbolic value to FlexWave, like to many other citizens of the country. I understand this completely, but everyone should understand this region is, beside it's name, just a regular medium region like any other, it's just data on a game, plus it doesn't really represents whole Vlaanderen IRL.

2) Why is this a dangerous move?

Nexus is a pretty new alliance with few members who still needs to prove itself to the rest of the world. We can do a significant damage and play a major role in the sWorld along with the other bigger alliances. But for this to be possible, we need to stay united ! Unity makes strength as we say in Belgium.

The fact that our CP, didn't care about the opinion of an allies' government, intervened in the orders of the same ally and started a revolution war whitout consulting anyone in the alliance is not at all a proof of this unity. On the contrary, it shows that we are more divided than ever, what is Nexus' purpose if we can't even communicate properly with our own allies?

Of course, the French were upset and reacted shocked and offended by the manners of the Belgian president. If the situation isn't solved soon, Belgium might (and will probably) be kicked out of the alliance Nexus. From that point, we will be alone, unless we try to join Alpha but I would consider this as a treason towards the ones we call our brothers now. Anyway, if we join alpha or not, we could get invaded by France but also by UK or another country.

3) Why did I launch an impeachment?

Beside the risks for Nexus, for Belgium and everything else, I'm completely stunned by the poor diplomatic skills and dictatorship-methods used by FlexWave over the last days. And these were the reasons that guided me when I launched the Impeach earlier today (Click to see the voting process ).

- First, a CP should communicate before acting ! As it appears, before launching the RW, the question of Vlaanderen was apparently, only briefly discussed with the French, and apparently never with the French CP.

- Secondly, I do not think a CP should intervene directly in the orders of an allied country by posting an article there, without the consent of the allies' government. This is rude and not a manner for someone as important as a CP.

- Thirdly, a CP should rule a country with its people, and its congress. FlexWave did all this on his own without asking the congress' opinion at any moment. This looks more like dictatorship that democracy to me? The congress is there to avoid such scandals and wrong decisions like these. If a president considers himself to important to ask for the Congress' approval he needs to be reminded that the congress represents the people and that they can take his position away at any time, if he doesn't respect his own people..

- Fourthly, a CP should be careful about what he writes.
In his article (Here ), I was surprised to see some experienced people called "traitors" (that's a very serious word to use. Is he a traitor because he doesn't approve your decisions? Nonsense...), myself being called pathetic in the shouts, the people supporting this impeach noobs or french-speaking (is this to be compared or something? Is all this now a community or language matter?). Of course you can defend yourself, but do it while trying to stay objective and not insulting anyone who disagrees.

Now, these were the reasons of the impeachment. I do think this is more a warning than a real attempt to kick you out of CP position, and I believe the warning was a success as the proposal is dangerously close to be accepted. Take all this into consideration and rely on the experienced players you have in your government and your congress to decide things, don't do everything on your own or you will fall sooner or later.

This is about it. Congressmen, if you haven't voted yet, choose wisely.

Regards,
Orango.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
