Now then, I don’t expect you to do what I say simply because I say so. I wouldn’t bow before that logic and I hope you don’t either. If you disagree with anything I’ve said above, I ask you to listen to my reasoning. If you still disagree, I can’t make you and wouldn’t presume to try. If you’re just interested, that’s good. Knowledge is power and knowledge of international warfare is especially powerful in a game whose every aspect is driven by it. Each numbered paragraph relates to the numbered guideline in the previous article. Lets get started.
1. This is the least you can do. These orders are the bare-minimum put there for the section of the population that simply cannot or will not put more in than that. We all have lives and sometimes we have more time for the game than others, which is understandable. Some people just don’t care and that’s unfortunate, but there is little that can be done about that. What is crucial, however, is that these be visible and easily accessible and we count on citizens to vote and make sure they are. Fortunately, we have little problem with this, but it is important and bears repeating.
2. We in the Americas command a very interesting portion of the eSim day, since the server’s day changes in late afternoon. This means we are in a prime position to watch over battles, while much of Europe and Asia are sleeping or working. This also means that people have a tendency to log in, dump their damage and log out until the next day, which frequently results in massive amounts of wasted damage by winning rounds by millions of points. Unless you have particular reason to believe your damage is needed in a particular battle soon after day change, hold onto it. I’ll expand on this in 4.
3. #sim-us.strikes is how we maximize the utility of our combined damage, it’s not just a place to pick up freebies for the select few who qualify. It’s, really, the easiest way for you to fight where it is most needed and do as much with your damage as possible. As I understand it, the Administration is working towards having this channel manned at all times, with mass pings going out as rounds reach their conclusion. I will expand on the utility of this in 7, 8, 9 and 11.
4. Your damage is a commodity and a commodity is only as valuable as it is hard to come by and how sought after it is. The latter is really no one person’s choice, some days are just slow. However, the former is entirely up to you. If damage is needed late in the game day (in the hours before reset) Hell on Wheels is likely to open with a lower strength threshold, because the damage commodity becomes much more difficult to come by as the day wears on and the margins that determine the winner of a battle become slimmer. Make the primary asset you’ve cultivated your character to produce as valuable as possible. If nothing else, you’re more likely to get a Battle Hero Medal out of it.
5. We’ve been fortunate these past couple months and have had little to distract us from the occasional Resistance War that crops up and have had little international interest in making those battles more than damage drains for those who aren’t paying attention. As we saw, this is not the rule. Don’t ignore Resistance Wars and check the previous rounds to see if they were heavily contested.
6 & 7. This is something we’ve had difficulty with. People pop in, look at the battle, see us a few million points ahead and say ‘Alright, moving on.’ JUST NO! I swear, nearly every person I supplied overnight while doing Hell on Wheels last time said, ‘Well, it looks safe.’ They listened when I said it wasn’t and they saw that, indeed, the amount of damage that can be leveraged in a minute or two by a couple highly organized groups is phenomenal. Again, the best way to make sure is to be in #sim-us.strikes. Officers there usually have premium accounts, which allows them to see how many of which nationalities are watching a battle, enabling them to estimate the damage the enemy is leveraging and allowing them to make a determination if it is a lost cause (and everyone’s damage should be saved for a better opportunity) or if the enemy isn’t showing or themselves are saving their damage for later. If an attack is needed, everyone will be warned ahead of time to get ready and the duty officer will make another call in the last few minutes telling people to fight or hold. It also occasionally happens that the enemy backs off, part way through, if so, everyone will be pinged again to cease fire. If you’re not on IRC, these last couple minutes are when the major damage will be rolling in on both sides. If you look at it with 5 minutes left and say ‘Well, I can’t possibly make a difference, there’s 3 million points there!’ you are dead wrong. I have seen these decided by as little as a thousand points. If you’re interested in making a difference, this is the time to strike.
8. This is a tough determination to make and I know I’ve made a very bad call a time or two. Generally, if you’re not sure, just go for it. Better to win by a few extra people than to lose because some heavy hitters rolled in late. Again, having a Premium account is useful and if you show up on IRC, someone else will probably have a Primo account to help make the right call. IRC IS HOW THE PROS DO IT!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
